Our Team

Ron has been providing professional insurance advice for over 30 years. Ron believes in taking the time necessary to educate each and every client so that they are in a position to make an educated decision on which product is best for them. Confidence is the best word to describe the feeling clients have in their decisions after working with Ron.

The insurance field is filled with thousands of insurance brokers and agents, however, there are few with the knowledge, experience and true care Ron possesses. He is FINRA Securities licensed, former Board Member of the Floral Park Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Oakwood Princeton Park Civic Association.

Ron is well renowned and respected in the industry and throughout the country. Insurance carriers often invite him to speak at meetings, conferences and events, and ask him to participate in their advisory councils.

Insurance is not Ron’s only passion, he has a lovely, hard-working wife and 2 terrific children. His time with them is the only thing more treasured than the business. Outside of the home and business you could find Ron working on neighborhood beautification projects, Habitat for Humanity home construction, or mountain biking throughout the Nassau County Greenbelt Trails.

John is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life Insurance. He started in the insurance in 1987. As Vice President of the Keats Agency, John oversees all sales and service operations. Prior to joining the family business, John was the Director of Customer Service with a major retailer. His background includes being a certified trainer with MoHR Communication Skills, Fenton Training systems and is an Empire Safety Council Defensive Driver Instructor.

John also spent four years serving our Country in the United States Marine Corps.

John lives on the border of Orange & Sullivan Counties in New York with his wife of many years, Deanna and his two puppies, Parrra and Guess. John is a huge fan of the Jets, Mets and Islanders.

Ingrid is licensed in Property & Casualty insurance. Ingrid has been in the insurance field for over 20 years. Ingrid oversees the office staff of our Floral Park location and she Manages our Commercial operation. Ingrid has been the backbone of this operation for many years. Our Floral Park customers simply love and appreciate her for all she does.

Born in New Jersey and raised in Flushing, NY, Ingrid is a die-hard Mets fan, but nothing is as important as her beautiful boy Derek Jr.

Monette is fully licensed in property & casualty, life and health insurance . Monette has been in the insurance field since 1994. Fluent in Haitian Creole and French and holds a degree in Community & Human Services.

Monette's family keeps her busy. She loves spending time with her husband and three girls, thirteen year old twins and four year old. We are so Happy to have her on our team!

Sal is a NYS licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Agent with 10+ years of hands-on agency experience. His friendly and consultative approach to each individual's or family's situation is truly refreshing in the insurance field. Sal holds a BA in Creative writing from Queens College, C.U.N.Y, and is also the Branch Manager for Fortune 500 staffing firm.

Residing in Northport, NY with his wife Laura and their three incredible children, Sal is an active member of his church, Northport Little League and BSA Troop 410. You will not find a more caring and concerned insurance partner for your family in the industry than Sal.

Eric is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life Insurance. Eric holds Insurance Licenses in the majority of the United States. Eric has been in the insurance field since 1989 and has won many Top Producer awards in Auto, Home and Life Insurance. He is a lead producer of the Keats Agency and is well respected by the companies we do business with and appreciated by our clientele.

Eric and his wife Amy have 3 kids, Alex, Alison & Adam. They keep up a very busy community life by frequently volunteering. Eric is a member of the B’nai B‘rith Youth Commission and has volunteered for BBYO for over 20 years. Eric is also a huge sports fan and participant. To this day he continues to enjoy many competitive sports.

Peter is licensed in Property & Casualty insurance in the states of New York and Florida. He holds Bachelors of Business Administration from Adelphi University. Peter started his career in the advertising business and then went on to own and operate North Shore Mobile Car Care, Inc for 15 years. He has been with The Keats Agency almost since 1995.

Peter has a great compassion for the consumer and always gives 100% to their needs and concerns. He lives in both New York and Florida and is a huge Miami Dolphins fan.

Jenkins has been in the insurance industry since 2001 , specializing in the commercial & personal insurance markets. Jenkins is licensed in all of the New England States.

In his spare time Jenkins enjoys sports and spending time with his family and new born daughter Julianna. Jenkins is a proud member of The Keats Agency and uses his knowledge and skills to benefit our clients.

Cassandra is licensed in Property & Casualty insurance. Cassandra has been in the insurance field since 1996. Cassandra has a real passion for the insurance industry and specializes in personal insurance. She is most often the go to for complete personal client reviews and is a kind and compassionate insurance agent for our clientele.

Cassandra enjoys spending time with family, traveling and is a hard-core basketball fan.

Maria is licensed in Property & Casualty insurance. Maria has been in the insurance industry since 1995. Maria specializes in personal lines of insurance and caring for our Portuguese and Hispanic clientele. She speaks multiple languages including Portuguese and Spanish.

In her spare time, Maria enjoys reading, volunteering at the church, and doing missionary work. She is very proud of her son Ricardo and resides in Carle Place.

Aferdita is licensed in Property & Casualty insurance. She has been in the insurance industry since 2000 and specializes in Personal Lines of insurance. Dita speaks multiple languages including Italian, Montenegro and is fluent in Albanian.

She enjoys spending time with family, traveling and swimming. Dita is hard working, very friendly, has a keen sense of humor and loves working at the Keats Agency. She has a son who plays football and a daughter who plays volleyball.

Valerie began her career with us as our receptionist. She has taken many insurance courses and has a great amount of experience with us. She is now a Customer Service representative with a big smile and an equally large heart.

Born and raised in Elmont/Floral Park, where her family and many friends still reside. She considers Elmont/Floral Park her hometown and always will. Val has been a licensed Travel Agent since 2001. Her hobbies include cosmetology, cooking (specifically experimenting with new and innovative recipes) and singing, occasionally at her church and especially Karaoke. She married her high school sweetheart, Joe, in 2002. They reside in Garden City.

Donna is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life Insurance. She holds Masters of Business Administration from Long Island University. Donna has been in the insurance field since 1995.

Donna works in our sunny Florida NY office and living in nearby Goshen with her family. Donna loves being part of the Florida and Goshen communities and is very much involved in the schools.

Steve is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life Insurance. Steve holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Ramapo College of NJ and is also a graduate of The Hartford School of Insurance.

Steve is very active in the local community, being a member of the Chester, NY Vice President of the Volunteer Ambulance Corps., Fire Department and President of the Monroe Chapter of Business Network International. He resides in the Monroe area with his wife Jessica and his beautiful daughter Hailey.

Helena is licensed in Property & Casualty insurance. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Saint Mary College. Helena specializes in both personal and commercial lines of insurance. Helena divides her time between both of the Keats Agency upstate offices in Florida and Monticello.

Helena enjoys reading, photography and music. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and has been a resident of Florida, NY since 2002.

Lisa is licensed in Property & Casualty insurance. She has been in the insurance field since 2000. Lisa is responsible for the day-to-day operations, and personal and commercial sales in our Monticello office. She is Sullivan County’s go to insurance person. They do love Lisa up there in Monticello and we are proud of all she has accomplished in her many years with the Keats Agency.

Born and raised in Sullivan County, Lisa has 3 beautiful children and Fiancé Dan. Lisa is a huge Yankee fan!

John is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life Insurance in Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama. John has been in the insurance industry since 1995. John is responsible for management and sales of the Georgia division of The Keats Agency. John is a compassionate client advocate. He understands the needs and the importance of value in every insurance transaction. One couldn’t ask to have a more complete agent on their side.

John is very involved with his family and his church. He has 5 wonderful little boys and a special wife who keeps it all together behind the scenes. John seeks to glorify God and to serve Him with his work recognizing that without Him none of this could be possible.

Elizabeth is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life Insurance. She has been in the insurance industry since 2001. Elizabeth specializes in personal lines of insurance. She also has a Degree in Dental Hygiene.

Elizabeth is a life long resident of Newnan, GA and an active member of Coweta County Humane Society and attends Lovejoy Methodist Church. She loves to cook and is an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

Brian is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life Insurance. Brian holds a Bachelors of Science degree from West Georgia University. Brian has been in the insurance industry since 1989 where he worked with his father, Webb Vermilya. Brian went on to operate his own agency.

Brian does not think of himself as a sales person as much as a problem solver. He listens carefully to his clients, in an effort to discover what is most important to them, their business and their family.

Brian is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. In 1993 Brian married a wonderful lady, Denise. They went on to have three terrific children, Madison, Ty and Luke. The Vermilya’s are active members of White Oak Presbyterian Church. Brian’s primary goal is to operate his business in a way that honors God; and he strives to glorify God in everything he does.

Lionel is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life Insurance in Georgia and Alabama. He has been in the insurance industry since 1990. Lionel specializes in personal, commercial and life insurance products. In 2009 he was the Keats Agency’s leading life insurance producer in application count.

In his spare time, Lionel enjoys a variety of sports and spending time with daughter.

Lauren is licensed in Property & Casualty. She has been in the insurance industry for many years originally working with her father Jimmy Powers at his specialized insurance agency.

Lauren is an active member in their schools as well as local community activities for children and families.

Carmen is warm, friendly, kind and has a broad smile 24 hours a day. She looks at professional life as a staircase on which she is climbing the first few now and plans to do all she can to work her way up. Carmen is carefully studying all that goes on around her at the office and is studying insurance licensing material.

Carmen was born in Chile and grew up here on Long Island. She speaks fluent Spanish and interacts extremely well with our Hispanic clientele, just as she does all of our clients. Carmen is that happy voice almost every client hears as the receptionist of the main office of The Keats Agency. Her hobbies include walking, singing, kickboxing, reading, and being with family and friends.

Dennis is licensed in life and health insurance in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey, as well as a registered financial representative. He joined the Keats Agency after spending time with Met Life as a registered financial representative. Earlier in his career he held major positions in the government bond industry.

Dennis prime focus is on the needs of our clients and protection and peace of mind for their families.

He has divided interests in the Boston College "Eagles" and the Notre Dame "Fighting Irish" of which he has a daughter attending each.

Kathleen has been in the insurance industry since 1997. She is fluent in Spanish having learned the language while living in Mexico and Spain for a number of years. Kathleen holds a BA Degree from Cal State Long Beach and a Design Arts Degree from Brooks College.

Kathleen currently resides in Peachtree City, GA. She enjoys her time with her friends and her ten-year-old son Tyler that keeps her off time busy with his many after school activities.

Karen is licensed in Property & Casualty, Life Insurance, and Real Estate. Karen has been in the Insurance industry since 2007. Karen holds a Masters of Business Administration from Monroe College. Karen handles all lines of insurance and is on her way to be the ‘go to’ agency in the Baldwin, NY area.

Karen works with her husband, Trevor Jones, who owns Trevjon Realty. Karen’s son Jonathan is a very special young man and at 10 years old has a lot to look forward to!

Chris plays a pivotal part in the day-to-day operations of the Keats Agency. He is responsible for Claims Reporting, Executive Administration and Technology. Chris is the compassionate voice for each client who suffers a loss and handles reporting, follow-up and all customer concerns and advice on the claim process. He is also responsible for keeping this high tech agency in top technological order, a monumental task that he does with a smile.

Chris is a graduate of Suffolk County Community College and currently resides in Holbrook, NY. He plays on 2 softball teams in the Town of Brookhaven. Chris is a very family oriented individual who feels it’s an honor to work in the family business.

Keith Miller is a truly dedicated Insurance and Financial Services professional who brings a refreshing consultative approach to his practice. He has been helping his clients achieve their financial goals while protecting their loved ones through good times and challenging times for the past 33 years. The wealth of experience he has gained, working with both individuals and businesses, makes him uniquely qualified to discuss your personal needs. Away from the office, Keith and his beautiful wife MaryAnn have been happily married for 36 years. Together they have raised three wonderful children, Vanessa, Alexis and Jonathan who are all married themselves. They are also the proud grandparents of Connor and Mackenzie. "Our family is our greatest achievement, and the source of our greatest joy."

Keith and his wife are very involved in community volunteer efforts, scheduling time each month to work with community members who seek counseling and direction in their lives. Keith is also an accomplished musician ( don't be surprised if he sits down at your family piano to sing a few songs before getting down to business...), and avid golfer who works hard to keep a single digit handicap.
